How Gamble Games Changed over the Years

If we talk about the history of gambling, we can’t go too far back. The oldest discovery in gamble games are some card games found in China more than 1100 years ago and there is not so much to say about this. However, if we speak about Blackjack in particular, there is more evidence to talk about. For example, this game was first mentioned in a book written by Miguel de Cervantes. Of course, this game didn’t show up over night, it is the precursor of Twenty-One. Also, Blackjack suffered some minor changes in game play, like the way players keep their cards. Back then, players used to hide their cards and now, they must keep them on the table face up. Another important change was the number of decks, it started with one and today, casinos use 7 or 8 deck of cards.

Looking at card games in general, their changes were slow and not so tough. On the other hand, gamble machines changed a lot in 100 years. Around 1900s, one of the first gamble machines was born. Its name was Liberty Bell and had great success. The machine had 3 reels with classic symbols like, horseshoes and the golden bells.

Further, fifty years later, the term Fruit Machine appeared. Of course, the main reason was a new machine called Money Honey. The game had 3 reels with simple fruit symbols. After this episode, slot machines started to show up in every corner of the earth. Occupying the most ground in every casino, slots became an important tourist attraction.

Fast forward to 21st century, feels like everything is moving to the online platforms. From the online shopping to the entertainment industry, looks like many companies are now focusing on this new technology. Talking about land based casino, is the same story. Many regular casinos are now thinking how to become an online casino.

Summary

As has been noted, gamble games suffered changes over the years and now, we are living in the online era. We don’t know what’s going to happen next, but if people like Elon Musk or Micheal Abrash are right, VR is going to be the next hit.
