QMJHL Roundup: Simon Lafrance leads Foreurs past Cataractes 6-4

VAL-D’OR, Que. — Simon Lafrance scored twice as the Val-d’Or Foreurs subdued the Shawinigan Cataractes 6-4 on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.
Nicolas Ouellet put away the power-play winner for the Foreurs (10-8-1) at 17:14 of the third period. Benjamin Dion, Mederick Racicot and Adam Cheezo also scored, while Etienne Montpetit made 38 saves for the win.
Vincent Senez had a pair of goals for Shawinigan (7-11-1) and Cameron Askew and Antoine Demers chipped in as well. Lucas Fitzpatrick turned aside 23 shots.
Val-d’Or went 2 for 3 on the power play. The Cataractes were 1 for 5 with the man advantage.
