Towing Necessary: Recent storm surge left some motorists stranded.
On Thursday evening firefighters were bombarded with phone calls due to minor flooding and potential water damage.
The storm surge that hit the Quebec region left a heavy amount of rainfall in a very short period of time, surprising many motorists as it left them stranded.
On 3rd Avenue West, below the overpass for Highway 40 a motorist managed to submerge her car in the flooded section of road between 42nd and 45th street leaving her car abandoned.
Several sections of road were left temporarily inaccessible due to the storm. This storm left both the Laurentian and Robert-Bourassa highways under partial closure.
Thankfully the authorities reported no serious incidents due to the weather.
